Simple... Applied for job in June and waited two months for security clearance before applying for work visa. Family said they will join me in January. Looking forward to it. Just met with Indian couple today and they told us about the ins and outs of living there...
1. Driver for sure. Impossible to drive there and find parking spots.
2. Maids for sure. Maids and driver about $200 per month together. But don't socialize with them because of the caste system they will feel uncomfortable.
3. Don't eat or drink anything from the street vendors or you will get sick sick sick. Don't even eat salads from restaurants.
4. Condos are cheap - around $500 to $800 US a month including a maid's room.
5. There are many clubs to socialize in after work. It is the best place to meet people. They are like country clubs where there is a pool and diner parties etc.
